The mint of Metaplaces Digital Artifacts Ordinals will be a unique experience.

Imagine hundreds of users simultaneously using the most advanced AI technologies — hundreds of carefully curated prompts and layers to generate and mint their own art.

Every resulting NFT will be inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain as Digital Artifacts Ordinals.

We are eagerly awaiting to see what beautiful art and masterpieces will come out of this mint.

What is Metaplaces Digital Artifacts?

Metaplaces Digital Artifacts is a collection of 1000 digital collectibles that will be generated and minted by their owners using our advanced AI platform during the limited mint period. Every one will be unique.

After the mint, every NFT will be inscribed on Bitcoin Ordinals and users will be able to bridge their Ethereum NFT to a Bitcoin Ordinals if they so desire, though this process will burn the NFT in the process — as there can only be one of the same at all times. A link to the bridge URL will be shared after the mint.

Through this collection, Metaplaces wanted to provide an innovative, entertaining and fascinating experience through which our owners could make the best of AI and Bitcoin Ordinals — two of the most trending topics of the moment — without any technical experience required.

How will the mint work ?

The process is rather simple :

  1. First, you choose the type of image you want to generate among four options: Profile picture, Property, Portrait, Object
  2. Second, you can choose a base layer — which is a transparent image that will the AI will built on top of — although this is not mandatory. In many cases, it is preferable to choose “Blank” and generate from scratch. This option is only available for Properties and Landscape types — PFP and Objects will take you directly to Step 3 — Prompts.
  3. Third, you can either choose one of our carefully curated prompts — edit it or create your own. This is the most important part, as it will indicate to the AI what you’re attempting to create.
  4. Three images will be generated by the AI, you select the one you like — which will be enlarged — and go ahead and mint it. If you’re not satisfied, you can press the left arrow on the top right corner and use another configuration to try again
Click on the arrow on the top left arrow to go back and try again
You can click on the arrow on the top left corner to go back at any moment

Credits and retries

Every address who mints will have 35 credits, which will each generate 3 images — so 105 images generated in total. Keep this in mind and make sure you don’t exceed 35 credits before minting.

The credits will be refreshed after you mint. Meaning you get another 35 credits every time you mint — allowing you to generate 105 new images every time you mint again.

These credits will be refreshed after an hour. If the mint is still open and supply under 1000, you can always come back later and refresh the browser and empty your cache to try again.

Dal-e Limitations

The underlying API we are using — Dall-e 2— has certain limitations and restrictions on what prompts you can use:

  • Directly using the name of certain people such as Elon Musk might not yield satisfying results.
  • Some words affiliated with politics and ethnicities might not work.
  • Get inspiration from our prompts when writing your own. When it comes to creating art, simpler prompts of a few words are sufficient. However, when it comes to creating PFPs — it requires detailed, sophisticated words.

How can I test my prompts before the mint?

Feel free to use Dal-e 2’s official website. They will provide you with 50 free credits for signing up. Beyond those, they will require you to pay for more credits.

The API we use has the same capabilities — which are upgraded by the layers and prompts we provide.

When is the mint?

The mint will be on Sunday, March 5th at 4 PM UTC. The maximum amount of mints per whitelisted address will be 10.

The links to the mint will be shared on Discord and Twitter.
