Use your Metaplaces Offices to hold virtual meetings
By sharing the following link, you provide your guests with the choice of joining your video conference through a simple web interface or a 3D visit :

This is to ensure everyone can attend, whether through a modern or older device, a fast or slower internet connexion.
In the future, we are planning to provide a way to use your own domain name.
Communicating with your guests
Click on the Open Chat button to show the message window, from which you can read and send messages.
Message history is not persistent at the moment — you will only see messages sent since the moment you joined.
You can click on Microphone, Camera or Share screen the same way you would use them on another videoconference software. Your visitors will appear on the right box once they either activate their microphone or their camera.
Change your settings and mute sounds
Hearing music or birds chirping while talking might not be the most practival thing. Click on the Settings button to open the settings window.
From here, you can change several settings that will be stored and remembered on your computer:
- Graphic Quality: Tune this up to make your office look better, or down to make it run faster
- Controller: When opening from a small screen, a mobile phone or a tablet, we will automatically load the Joystick mode. You can change it at any time from the settings window.
- Mute sounds to stop hearing environment and video sounds — unless you click on a video to show the player. This is useful for videoconferences.
- Time of the day changes the lightning of your office based on the time of the day you are visiting, but you can change it manually if you so wish here.
Customize your Metaplaces Small Office
Customizing your office is very easy. Make sure you have the Metamask extension installed on your browser. Click on the login button on the bottom right corner.
This will open a Metamask notification to sign a transaction so we can verify that you are the holder of the NFT. This will only work if you are signing with the same account that owns the NFT — so make sure it is the one that is active and signing.
Our website only requires you to sign to verify your identity, which doesn’t require sending any ETH nor approving transfers unless it is a mint page.
After signing, you should be logged in — you will see the icon changing slightly. If you click it again, it will log you out.
Once logged in, it’s super easy!
Just click on any item you’d like to customize :
When you click on any of these while logged in, you will see an overlay to either upload an Image, a Video or a Youtube link.
Currently, max size for images and videos is 5 Mb, which we will increase soon for videos.
You can specify a description and an URL Link that will be shown to your visitors when they click on the portraits or TV after you upload media.
Changing the default Scale will make the portrait or screen appear smaller or larger. Leaving 0 will keep it at its default state.
When you upload a video or a youtube link, changing the Volume will make the autoplay video louder or quieter. If set to 0, the video elements will be muted until visitors click on them to enlarge the player.
When updating your logo, make sure you upload a transparent image of size 1000x250 with a darker color text or image.
Customizing your avatar
Create your own avatar or use ReadyPlayerMe to create an awesome avatar for you by taking or uploading a picture by clicking on the “CREATE READYPLAYERME AVATAR” button at the top.
Clicking on the ReadyPlayerMe button will open their editor. Once saved, your new avatar will load in your Metaplaces offices.
Currently, we are storing your avatar information on your computer. In the future, we will store this online so you can use it across all your devices.
